Richard Stanley currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Creek Indian Enterprises Development Authority (CIEDA), the economic development arm of the Poarch Creek Indians.

In his professional capacity, Stanley is a distinguished leader in the lumber industry, serving as the President and CEO of T. R. Miller Mill Company, Inc. for more than four decades. A native of Atmore, Alabama, he oversees one of the oldest and largest sawmills in the United States, renowned for its specialty pine products, including flooring, siding, and pattern products.

Over the years, his strategic leadership and deep industry knowledge have earned him seats on various boards and oversight committees. Stanley's influence extends across multiple industry boards, reflecting his commitment to the lumber and forestry sectors. He is actively involved with the Softwood Lumber Board, American Wood Council, Southeastern Lumberman's Manufacturing Association, Southern Pressure Treaters Association, and the Alabama Forestry Association. His contributions to these organizations underscore his dedication to advancing sustainable practices and industry development.

Celebrated for his business acumen and community service, Stanley has built a reputation as a collaborative and forward-thinking leader. Richard is an enrolled Poarch Creek Indian Citizen and lives in Brewton, Alabama, with his wife, Phyllis Barnes Stanley, where he continues to contribute to his Tribe, community, and industry.
